On February 5th  at the Marine Corps Reserve Center, Wilmington Delaware Lt. General John G. Castellaw, Deputy Commandant for Aviation United States Marine Corps, On behalf of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, presented a $20,000.00 Scholarship Bond to 8 year old Alexander Doring, son of  Marine Captain Nathanael Doring.  Captain Doring was stationed at Camp Taqaddum and passed away while serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom when the AH-1W he was piloting crashed into Lake Habbaniyah.  He was TAD to VMU-2 from HMLA-369. At the time of the crash Captain Doring was flying with HMLA-169, MAG-16 for required flight time.
